COVER

COVER

This is the book cover I modeled and textured for a commercial. It's not the color that went out but I like this old leathery book cover better. It's only my personal preference, though.

This was done in Maya and rendered using Arnold.

Pop-up bird model I did for a commercial.

This is the Tangled Tower model I made for a pop-up commercial, with a friend at Clockworkvfx.

PLAYBLAST

PLAYBLAST

A quick playblast of my explosion test

BOOM!

BOOM!

This is, I guess, my first decent explosion. I followed a tutorial at cgi.tutsplus.com on how to create realistic explosion using Maya fluids. I rendered this out in Maya using mentalray and comped over in Nuke.

SHROOM

SHROOM

Another quick test in Maya Fluid. I just messed around with the different parameters and here's what I got. Amateurish but had fun doing it.

FISH

FISH

Rummaging through my old files, I found these renders I made for IMCOLOR way back 2012. These are the few sea creatures I textured using Maya and rendered out using Mentalray.

FLUID

FLUID

This is my first ever Maya Fluid test. Not much but I'm happy that I've tried it, following a tutorial from deepfriedectoplasm. I did a couple of personal tweaks, though. I don't know if fluid is my thing, but I'm glad I've tried it out.

This is rendered using Mentalray and comped using Nuke.

NUKE and PASSES

This is a tutorial from SenecaVFX a very insightful video. I am relatively new to Nuke and how render passes work; I find this video a helpful find.

LENS FLARE in NUKE

I just came across with this video fromCalvin Romeyn in YouTube and it's cool to create flares without having any additional plug-ins in Nuke. Very helpful!
