Just an update; I did the creature's shaders and textures. All the textures are done in Zbrush. Rendered the image in Maya using Arnold and did the post work in Nuke (dfocus) and Photoshop.

UNTITLED: WIP



Update: Got teeth, little details on helmet and skin




Inspired by a tutorial by Kotyukh, I tried sculpting this creature and have learned so much. It's still a work in progress, a lot of stuff still to be added, like the teeth, skin details, helmet details, drool (perhaps). Still a lot of things to learn. I'm excited how this creature would end up.

OTR UPDATE



Since I got a lot of free time to spare, I hand-painted the creature's skin in Zbrush and created a simple environment for it to rest on. Composite was done in Nuke (defocus) and Photoshop.

This model is a work-in-progress. I'm really enjoying building up the details on this creature. There's a couple more teeth to model and perhaps details for the hide. I am hoping when I'm done with it, I'm not to lose the fine details once it's in Maya. I'm still torn weather I am going to texture it or have it say like bronze; we'll see.

Head model was downloaded from TurboSquid. Accessories were modeled in Maya and the turban in Zbrush.

These images are some of the few shots I did for the project called ANG SIMULA under AMBIENTMEDIA for MINDMUSEUM back in 2012. I was the Lead Texture and Lighting Artist then, who is responsible for the look and feel of most of the shots. I used Maya,Vue and Combustion in finishing these shots.
